Mike Portnoy Enters Studio with Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold is finally ready to return to the recording studio following the tragic death of drummer Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan back in December.
They seem to have gotten their hands on a “dream drummer” to fit the bill. Here’s their announcement:

Avenged Sevenfold Drummer, “The Rev” Jimmy Sullivan, Found Dead

Jimmy Sullivan (full name: James Owen Sullivan), A.K.A. “The Rev” and “The Reverend Tholomew Plague”, drummer for the band Avenged Sevenfold, was found dead Monday at his home in Southern California.
Sullivan, 28, appears to have died of “natural causes,” according to a police official. An autopsy is pending.
