Amazon Kindle Price Drop: $259 in the U.S.

Amazon Gets Sued over 1984 Incident

A few weeks ago, we detailed how Amazon had deleted George Orwell’s classic 1984 from users’ Kindles after the company realized that the copies it  sold were unauthorized.
Now Justin Gawronski is suing Amazon over the incident.

Amazon Goes Big Brother, Deletes Unauthorized 1984 from Kindles

Amazon has pulled a true “Big Brother” by deleting Kindle versions of the George Orwell novels 1984 and Animal Farm from the Kindles of users who had already paid for the books.  Nice.

Kindle Author Gets Book Publishing Deal

Amazon Kindle DX to Ship on June 10

Amazon has finally announced a release date for the new Kindle DX.
It will ship in nine days on June 10.  In a brief announcement, Amazon said that the new, larger e-book reader will ship on that date with orders prioritized on a first come, first served basis.
