A millionaire in Switzerland has been hit with a record speeding fine of $290,000 (£180,000).
The man was apparently caught driving his red Ferrari Testarossa at 85 mph through a small village (look out, he’s gone to plaid!).

The fine was calculated based on the man’s wealth, which a court ruled was $22.7 million, and was also more severe because he was a repeat offender.
This fine is more than twice that of Switzerland’s previous record holder, which was assessed to the driver of a Porsche back in 2008.
This motorist was cited for going 35 mph above the posted speed limit.
“The accused ignored elementary traffic rules with a powerful vehicle out of a pure desire for speed,” the court stated.
The unnamed man reportedly owns a villa with five luxury cars, including the Ferrari.
