It didn’t take long for Susan Boyle to reinvent herself. It wasn’t really a matter of “if” it would happen as much as it was a matter of “when’”.
Yes, there has been a Susan Boyle makeover.
Many say that the frumpy singing sensation from America’s Got Talent deserves it. Others fear she will lose her connection with the audience.
Susan Boyle now sports a new hairdo, newly waxed and shaped eyebrows, a new leather jacket, and a Burberry scarf.
Max Clifford, a publicist in Britain, thinks the makeover was very risky as it might put the singer’s connection with the audience at risk.
“Keep her as natural as possible for as long as possible,” he said. “It’s more about protection than promotion. She’s got the voice. She has to make sure that the person people all around the world fell in love with remains the same.”
Will the Susan Boyle makeover confuse her fans? Does it matter? This is a truly unique woman who is clearly enjoying her 15 minutes of fame. As well she should.
