As we reported yesterday, Susan Boyle is on pace to become the internet’s biggest viral sensation ever. Now we have some statistics to back up that claim.
According to Visible Measures, Susan Boyle’s video clips (of which Visible Measures identified more than 200 unique videos – many of the same performance) have surpassed those of the infamous George Bush shoe-thrower, Tina Fey’s take on Sarah Palin, and President Obama’s victory speech.
she still hasn’t overtaken the “Evolution of Dance”, which has gotten over 300 million views over the years – but she could be on pace to do so.
Visible Measures says that for week that ended Friday, April 17, Susan Boyle singing “I Dreamed A Dream” received 47.7 million views and more than 125,000 comments.
Boyle, who this week revealed that she has often been referred to as Susie Bong or Susie Simple, won’t be performing again until around May 23, when the next phase of Britain’s Got Talent begins.
What on earth will we do until then??
In the meantime, enjoy this clip of her recent interview with Scottish television…
