A group of sharks killed a man near Stuart Beach in Florida yesterday.

Stephen Schafer, 38, had been kite-surfing prior to the attack, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Department.

A lifeguard saw Schafer flailing in the water and notice several sharks surrounding him. He was bitten several times and was bleeding profusely.

Schafer went into cardiac arrest as lifeguards helped him get to shore. He was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
