Microsoft has had enough. Last week, the Conflicker Virus (A.K.A. Conficker C worm) actually crippled the French Air Force.
Today, Microsoft announced that they are offering a $250,000 reward for the folks behind the Conflicker Virus.
The nasty little worm is said to have affected over 15,000,000 PC’s around the globe. The Conficker Virus opens infected computers to multiple vulnerabilities, as well as disabling safety features.
Microsoft said in a statement that it has teamed with security researchers, Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and operators within the Domain Name System for a coordinated a response designed to disable domains targeted by the Conficker worm.
