Steven Adler, the original, troubled drummer for the greatest rock band of all time (IMHO), Guns N’ Roses, has just released his own book, “My Appetite for Destruction: Sex & Drugs & Guns N’ Roses“.
In the new book, he tells all about his experience as a member of one of the most successful rock bands of all time.
One story he relates in the memoir includes a time when he was raped. In one passage he says: “We arrived at this dumpy little apartment. There was another guy there, only he was in his 40s. A completely scruffy-looking loser. Right away, I felt uneasy. Something wasn’t right.”
He also talks about how he got hooked on drugs, which would eventually get him booted out of the band.
Steven Adler appeared on Dr. Drew‘s Celebrity Rehab and, so far, Adler is trying to clean. it has now been two and a half years since he finished rehab program and he’s had two relapses since then.
In a recent interview, Adler admits he would love to see a Guns N’ Roses reunion, but after 25 years of waiting, he’s pretty much given up on that dream.
