Spice Girls ReunionWell, you’ll never believe who got back together today.

The Spice Girls – Melanie Brown, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Melanie Chisholm – got back together in London to hype “Viva Forever,” an upcoming musical based on the hit music of the ’90s girl group.

The big reunion took place at St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel, the same place at which the Spice Girls filmed their music video for “Wannabe” in 1996.

“Viva Forever” will be produced by Judy Craymer, the woman who was behind the ABBA musical “Mamma Mia.”

The production focuses on four women whose friendship is on the ropes when their band competes on a TV talent competition. The musical will feature hit songs made famous by the Spice Girls, who as a group sold 75 million records.

“They sing it better than us,” said Melanie Brown, A.K.A. “Scary Spice,” in reference to the cast of the new musical.

The Spice Girls debuted in 1994 and experienced a meteoric rise to fame. Halliwell departed in 1998 and, while the remaining four continued to tour, they split up in 2000.

After the event, Beckham tweeted:

“On my way home!! Thank you @MelanieCmusic @OfficialMelB @EmmaBunton @GeriHalliwell for an amazing day!! “
