Sonic. Remember him? That lightning fast, iconic little hedgehog from SEGA?
Well get ready, because “Sonic the Hedgehog 4″ has officially been unveiled. The official site gives us some teasers and countdown regarding when we can learn more.
The project had been previously codenamed “Project Needlemouse”.
The game is said to be a direct sequel to the previous installations in the Sonic series that were mega-blockbusters on the classic Genesis platform. The stages of the game will be released episodically, with Episode 1 coming at you this summer as a downloadable game on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii.
More “playable chunks” will be coming later. Stay tuned!
