Hold onto your butts!
It’s official. A Skype app for the iPhone will become available in the Apple App Store on Tuesday. It's also coming to the Blackberry in May.
This will enable you to make insanely cheap VoIP calls over Wi-Fi. The app will function on both the iPhone and the iPod Touch.
Features will include chatting, snapping a pic and using it as your avatar image, accepting incoming conference calls, and sorting your iPhone contacts by name or by online status.
As of right now you cannot CREATE conference calls. There is also no support for SMS, file transfer, or handling second incoming Skype calls.
This looks like a solid app, although Fring is already out there and supports Skype as well.
Don't forget to check out iStormer to learn how to make your OWN iPhone apps and sell them for profit in the Apps Store.
