Atlanta’s Six Flags in now under water. The park will be closed indefinitely as officials will need to wait for the area to dry out then clean out the muck from the flooding and test all rides before reopening. With Six Flags under water, area residents will need to find other ways to entertain themselves, it seems.
The death toll from the flooding has now risen to eight as rescuers have found the body of a 15-year-old boy in northwest Georgia, following days of heavy rain.
The teen’s body was found in the Chattooga River on Tuesday morning.
“This is absolutely ridiculous,” one Georgia woman shouted as she drove her vehicle through the high waters. “I have never seen anything like this in Atlanta before.”
Aerial shots showed schools, parking lots and even entire neighborhoods under water from the deluge, sending some unlucky residents scurrying for higher ground.
