A girl in northern China was minding her own business, walking down the street and talking on her cell phone, when the sidewalk suddenly caved in and swallowed her WHOLE.
The girl fell about 15 feet.
A cab driver who happened to be passing by witnessed the whole thing and climbed down to help her.
Apparently, she was unconscious when he got there. The fire department ended up having to use a ladder to get them both out, and a security camera caught the whole thing on video.
Authorities say water had eroded the ground under the sidewalk, creating a huge sinkhole. Either that or some little kid in America with a shovel finally achieved what was once deemed impossible.
It’s interesting how the crowd gathers around too. Hey, if the sidewalk wasn’t strong enough to hold ONE person, let’s get about 20 people to stand around the same spot. Brilliant.
