A song by a Christian band from Texas is starting to go viral, and for all the wrong reasons.
“Shine” by Final Placement might just be the worst song ever recorded. I just listened to it for the first time and threw up a little bit in my mouth.
Who is Final Placement?
Final Placement is a Christian Rock band from Midland, TX. It consists of four guys from Midland Christian School. They are currently playing shows. They dream of scoring a record label one day. The philosophy of FP is, “The world is gone but not lost it can still be saved, all it takes is the people to listen. Maybe if they will hear the message and change.”
The song seems to be a legit effort on the part of the band, although it may cause permanent damage to your eardrums.
They obviously didn’t plan on this going mainstream as it looks like their Facebook page has been taken down.
For the record, the drummer and the bassist aren’t part of the band. They graciously discuss it here (look for user “Setting the Record Straight”).

Watch out for that guitar solo at 2:08. You’ve been warned.
