George Jefferson is movin’ on up to a much better place.
Actor Sherman Hemsley, who played the iconic ’70s sitcom character on The Jeffersons, is dead at the age of 74.
Hemsley died in his Texas home.
No cause of death has yet been released.
The actor, who was also a singer, had no wife or children.
