There is a new fear to overcome...the new Sears Tower Ledge on the 103rd floor.

"It's like walking on ice," said Margaret Kemp, of California, who said her heart was still pounding even after stepping away. "That first step you take - 'am I going down?'"

Kemp was one of the tower's first visitors to get a sneak peek at the balconies on Wednesday. "The Ledge," as the balconies have been nicknamed, will be open to the public on Thursday.

The balconies are an astounding 1,353 feet in the air and stick out about four feet from the Sears Tower Sears Tower Ledge: First Look (Video) Skydeck.
