Scotty McCreery American Idol Top 4We’re coming down to the wire on American Idol and last night the season 10 Top 4 finalists had two chances to earn the most votes. Each contestant had to sing an inspirational song and a song by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.

Scotty McCreery played guitar and sang “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” by Alan Jackson and then, with Lady Gaga‘s mentoring advice in hand, “Young Blood”.

Yawn.  “Where Were You” was moving, just because of recent current events, but come on, Scotty.  “Young Blood” was a fun little song, but this is the top four.  You’re going to have to better than that.  Scotty just makes goofy faces when he sings and he’s gotten to be really boring. He’s also now channeling Ric Flair with that little “Woo!” after upbeat every song.

Scotty, you’ll have a wonder country music career, but I’m afraid it’s time for you to go home.

“Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)”

Steven Tyler: That was beautiful.

Jennifer Lopez: I’m in love with you.

Randy Jackson: That’s a great song. Perfect song choice. You’re ready for superstardom.

Did these guys really just say that after ripping Haley? WTF?

“Young Blood”

Steven Tyler: You made Gaga’s gaga go lala (I give up trying to figure out what the hell Steven is talking about any more).

Jennifer Lopez: Now is the sprint to the finish line.

Randy Jackson: You made me laugh.
