Sarah Reinertsen, the first-ever female amputee to participate in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship, is one of six athletes to pose naked for ESPN the Magazine's Body Issue.
Another thirty athletes appear nude or almost-nude inside the issue, including NASCAR's Carl Edwards.
If the new Body Issue catches on, it could go head-to-head with Sports Illustrated's "Swimsuit Issue" for readers and media frenzy.
Along with Sarah Reinertsen and Carl Edwards, other cover model athletes include tennis star Serena Williams, mixed martial arts fighter Gina Carano, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, and Dwight Howard of the NBA's Orlando Magic.
We've included a few covers below for you to preview.
The Body Issue hits newsstands on Friday October 9th.
