As we reported several months ago, Sarah Palin has finally resigned as the Governor of Alaska.
In her last public address as Governor, Palin said she had done what she set out to do, then officially stepped down from office on Sunday, handing over the reigns to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell.
Sarah Palin resigned a good 18 months before the expiration of her term of duty.
Her appearance brought with it applause and whistles as she thanked the people of Alaska and extolled the natural beauty of Alaska. "In this last frontier there is hope," Palin said, referring to Alaska. She then went on to stress the importance of the nation’s military.
Palin comments heralded the Constitution, remembered her early days in office and patted herself on the back for ethics reforms and other things she had done in office.
