Sarah Palin surprised many by doing stand-up comedy on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night. The former Republican vice presidential nominee did one-liners about the White House, Congress and even Tina Fey.
Palin sat down with Jay before taking the stage and discussed her new role at Fox News and the Tea Party movement.
Palin told Leno that she went to Fox to build trust in the media.
“I think that the mainstream media is quite broken and I think that there needs to be the fairness, the balance in there. That’s why I joined Fox.”
As part of her comedy routine, Palin the crowd that she planned to speak at a gun-rights convention:
“Be there or else,” she warned them.
