Former NFL quarterback and all around screw-up Ryan Leaf has been indicted by a grand jury on drug and burglary charges.
Wednesday’s indictment of Leaf, who used to play quarterback for the San Diego Chargers, charges the 33-year-old with one count of burglary to a habitation, seven counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and one count of delivery of a simulated controlled substance.
The indictment said Leaf gave an incomplete medical history to various physicians between January 2008 and September 2008 so that he could get his hands on some Hydrocodone.
Leaf is said to have broken into an apartment on October 30 and stealing some of the prescription drug, which had been prescribed to an injured football player.
