Why is Boston-based entrepreneur Jason Jacobs participating in this year’s Boston marathon dressed like a giant iPhone? Jacobs is partnering with some undergraduatess at Emerson College who are enrolled in a new social media class.
He popped into the class seeking assistance in marketing his iPhone App, RunKeeper, which is a GPS-based fitness app for runners and cyclists. They came up with a great idea: to run the entire Boston marathon dressed as a giant iPhone – with Jacobs’ RunKeeper application displayed on the screen.
The Boston marathon will takes place this coming Monday, April 20. You can view a promo video below.
