Ron Paul took the floor for five minutes yesterday and presented a piece of legislation that would right a grievous wrong.
The GOP presidential hopeful wants Congress to repeal section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which President Barack Obama quietly signed into law on New Year’s Eve, hoping no one would notice.
Section 1021 is the section that states that an American can be held indefinitely and without trial, even if he or she requests a lawyer.
So much for the Bill of Rights.
