F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

roland corning Roland Corning Busted with Stripper in CemetarySouth Carolina Deputy Assistant Attorney General Roland Corning says he was taking his lunch break when police found him with a stripper, some Viagra, and sex toys in his SUV.

Roland Corning is now seeking a new job.

Corning, 66, was in an isolated part of a downtown cemetery when a police officer saw him on Monday. When the officer approached his vehicle, Corning took off. He later pulled over a few blocks away. The stories given by Corning and the 18-year-old girl with him conflict, according to Officer Michael Wines. The girl works at the Platinum Plus Gentleman's Club.

Corning flashed a badge at Wines which indicated that he worked for the state Attorney General's Office. Wines, whose wife also happens to work there, phoned her to verify his claim.

Upon searching the SUV, Officer Wines found Viagra and various sex toys. Corning said he always keep those items in his car..."just in case."

Roland Corning and the stripper were released. Wines' wife, however, reported the call to her supervisor, who in turn informed Attorney General Henry McMaster.

Corning was fired, McMaster said on Wednesday.

"We received credible information about inappropriate behavior Monday afternoon," McMaster said on Wednesday. "And by the close of business, he was no longer working here."

A visit such as this one to the cemetery "would not be appropriate, at any time, for an assistant attorney general," McMaster said.
