Think you’re so smart? Do you like to impress your friends by solving Sudoku puzzles at the speed of light? Well, big deal, says Hans Andersson. He’s built a robot that can do that.
Andersson lives in Sweden and constructed the robot in his spare time using a robotics kit that he originally bought for his two kids.
The result is quite impressive. Hans utilized a light sensor to read the puzzle using some brilliant image processing techniques. He then created an optimized algorithm for solving the Sudoku puzzle and, finally, he gave the robot a pencil to use to fill in the numbers.
