Never count a man out too soon. When Blippitt first reported to you that Robin Gibb had fallen into a coma earlier this month, doctors thought this was the end for the Bee Gees singer.
Now, though, comes word that Gibb has “confounded” doctors by miraculously awakening from his coma.
The 62-year-old slipped into a coma last week after contracting pneumonia.
Gibb’s rep Doug Wright now says that Gibb is able to nod and communicate with his family members, who have been gathered at his bedside for almost his entire hospital stay.
The Bee Gees’ co-founder was hospitalized last year for stomach and colon problems. It was widely believed that he had colon cancer and he recently told the BBC that he had a growth on his colon that was removed.
Never count a man out too soon. He’s not dead yet.
