robinhood702

RobinHood702 isn’t your typical gambler.

Last year, the high-stakes blackjack player who wants to remain anonymous, used his skills to get a family out of debt. Now he’s getting ready to do it again and he’s looking for more people to help.

“I’m looking for anyone that’s in debt – that needs some help,” he says. “I’m going to look for the story that’s really going to touch my heart. That’s it.”

He calls himself RobinHood702 because of Las Vegas’ 702 area code.

In 2008, he asked for submission to his website at RobinHood702.com and he quickly received tons of requests from people who were in real financial trouble.

In the end, he picked a Detroit couple with a young daughter whose battle with brain cancer had put them more than $35,000 in the hole.

This time around, RobinHood702 has convinced a friend to join him on his quest. Dr. Richard Schulze, a doctor and businessman, will also pitch in so that they can help two families this year.

“I want a thousand people — I want ten thousand people to do this. It’s one thing to hear about people helping people and it’s another thing to be there in person,” he said.

Schulze is prepared to contribute “thirty, forty, fifty thousand dollars” to a needy family. “Whatever they need to save their home, to get out of debt, to get out of bankruptcy, I want to help someone out. Really this is a story about Americans helping Americans. No one else is going to help us out and it’s time now to help each other.”

Schulze will also pick the winner from RobinHood702.com, but will just hand over the money rather than play for it at the tables.

Feel free to submit your name, but don’t waste his time, says RobinHood702. Only those who are truly needy and in real financial trouble should apply.
