Ashleigh Kenny, a college student in Georgia, is causing a hefty commotion with a new t-shirt that she has designed and begun selling. The front of the t-shirt reads “RIP – The U.S. Constitution”.
Featured on the back is a quote from former President Ronald Reagan…”In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.”
The 21-year-old has said, “Our government is getting too big. How big can be debated, but the truth is, the government is bigger than the people. Therefore, the constitution is under attack. No matter which way you look at it, it is.”
She is encouraging her peers to wear the t-shirt to help spread the word about our government. Kenny recently received national attention when she appeared on the Bill Maher Show on HBO.
Rep. Jack Kingston (R – Georgia) posed with Kenny and the RIP Constitution T-Shirt at a town hall meeting last week.
After taking some heat for posting the picture to his Flickr account, he defended himself, saying he was just attempting to help out a young activist.
