Rima Fakih, the 24-year-old Arab-American who won the 2010 Miss USA competition last night, is already stirring up controversy. It seems some photos of Fakih in a pole-dancing competition have been unearthed.
UPDATE: Rima’s been busted for DUI
It seems the competition was a few years ago and she won. Fakih snagged prizes consisting of jewelry, “adult toys,” and an at-home stripper pole. Dozens of on-lookers appeared to have watched her performance as she worked the pole in super short-shorts.
Fakih was participating in a competition called Stripper 101 which was put on by a local Detroit radio station. She kept on her clothes, but spectators did get to stuff her bra full of dollar bills.
Pretty tame pictures, really. Until something racier pops up, I think I’ll have to give this story a big “Meh”.
