Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one who’s gotten some new ink lately. Rihanna wants in on the fun.
In fact, she recently had her personal motto tattooed on her, reminding her that there’s a lesson to be learned in each mistake we make.
On Monday night, she went to the New York tattoo parlor, East Side Ink, and got a tattoo that reads “Never a failure, always a lesson” just underneath her right clavicle.
Rihanna even had it tattooed on her backwards so she would be able to read it in the mirror.
The tattoo artist, Keith McCurdy (A.K.A. “Bang Bang”), who also owns the parlor, told OK magazine that Rihanna explained the tattoo to him:
“I asked her why she wanted that, and she said, ‘It’s kind of my motto in life for everything’ instead of considering things to be mistakes, considering them lessons.”
