The highly-anticipated Rihanna interview on 20/20 with Diane Sawyer aired on ABC on Friday night.
The pop singer revealed that her once loving relationship with Chris Brown had morphed into something obsessive, and dangerous. It all came to a head back in February of this year when Brown flew into a rage that has forever changed people’s perception of him.
The duo had departed from a pre-Grammy bash and started fighting in the car over a text message that Brown had gotten from an ex and then lied about it.
Brown beat Rihanna to a bloody pulp, punching and biting her in the process. He then proceeded to choke her until she almost lost consciousness, while also threatening to kill her.
Later, she somehow managed to get out of the vehicle after the cowardly Brown had left the scene. She then began to walk, her face full of blood, and sought help.
Eventually, someone heard her please for help and called 911.
The graphic photo of her beaten face eventually leaked over the internet.
