A picture featured in a brand new school high school yearbook is causing quite a stir. The Sickles High School yearbook photo in question shows a 16-year-old student who didn’t wear any panties to school that day because she didn’t want panty lines showing in the picture.

Hmmm.

"There's a picture of a girl in the club pages," said senior Xander Morehouse. That picture shows a student with her nether-regions showing.

The photo is published in the Sickles High School yearbook.

"When I saw it, I kind of flipped out. I was like, 'Oh my God', but I think that she's probably like really horrified," said sophomore Caitlin Darden.

By the end of the school day on Monday, over two-hundred yearbooks had been passed out. Hundreds more went out on Wednesday, with in excess of 2,500 students at Sickles, many more yearbooks are expected to go out over the next week.

The school administrator is downplaying the photos, saying that all that is visible in the Sickles High School yearbook photo is a shadow, but the student says that it’s the real deal.

"All of the administrators are trying to downplay it and saying I should really laugh it off and come back to school but I've been humiliated," the student said.

The girl's mother says her daughter is so humiliated, she's going to remove her from the school for the rest of the year.

School leaders don't seem to be quite as concerned as they should be.

Candy Olson, an elected school board official, hadn't heard about the story. Her first reaction was to say "Perception is reality," and then expressed concern for the girl's welfare. Five hours later, however, she changed her story, saying, "It needs to be dropped. You should not do the story."

Carol Kurdell echoed Olson's second response saying, "It's an overblown problem... leave it alone."

Unbelieveably, spokesperson Steve Hegarty said, "We don't think this is a story." He added, "We won't cooperate with your story."

Is this for real? Have these school board members lost their minds? Talk about a school board EPIC FAIL.
