F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You
The internet is abuzz tonight, following a story on 60 minutes about Resveratrol, a naturally occurring ingredient in red wine that may actually extend your lifespan.
"If the promise holds true, I think this has the chance to change healthcare," Dr. Christoph Westphal told 60 minutes correspondent Morley Safer.
According to Dr. Westphal, we can now buy a pill that might just do the improbable...add years to your life.
"Our goal is to prevent and forestall many of the diseases that strike us as we reach 50, 60, and 70. All with one pill."
You can view the Resveratrol clip below. The second scientist featured is David Sinclair, Professor of Pathology and Co-Director of the Paul F. Glenn Laboratories for the Biological Mechanisms of Aging at Harvard Medical School.
Resveratrol is now available in several different forms, which you can find here. It's amazing stuff...even if you aren't into red wine. :-)
