F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

2008 NHL Winter Classic

It seems that the Reebok Lost Logo Challenge, a superb marketing idea that took place during the NHL's Winter Classic, was perhaps too big of a hit, crashing reebokhockey.com for most of the day.

The contest revolved around having fans watch this year's NHL Winter Classic to try and find the one hockey player from either the Chicago Blackhawks roster or the Detroit Red Wings roster that did NOT have the Reebok logo on his uniform. Fans both in the stands and at home were asked to either send a text message, make a phone call or enter online. The winners would then randomly be selected from the right answers. The winner will get an all-expenses-paid package trip to the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals...not too shabby.

The contest, however, was too much of a success as the reebokhockey.com website crashed for part of the game.

The winners will be announced at www.reebokhockey.com tomorrow, on January 2, assuming that it's up.  :-)
