ate yesterday afternoon, Rapper “Dolla” was shot and killed in front of The Beverly Center Mall in Los Angeles, CA. Dolla was from Atlanta, Georgia and was signed to Akon’s Konvict Music Label.
Twenty-one-year-old Roderick Anthony Burton was a rising rapper who’s song “Who Da F*ck Is That” received national airplay last year.
Thus far, police have arrested one suspect in the shooting and are looking for the others. Several witnesses claim that an altercation between two groups of men erupted in the mall and later spilled outside. One witness says that a woman fired a handgun towards the end of the dispute.
Sources close to the situation believe the shooting stemmed from an initial altercation in Atlanta. No official word has been confirmed on the motive.
