Randy Moss has been claimed off waivers by the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are one of the teams Moss expressed an interest in playing for, so this should make him happy. Moss will join the team as soon as possible.
After he found out that Moss would hit waivers, Titans coach Jeff Fisher told reporters, “I would venture to say that every head coach or maybe 30 head coaches in this league are having discussions about it right now.”
Really, it’s surprising how many teams passed on Moss, including the Bengals, Chargers, Redskins, Cowboys, 49ers, and the list goes on and on.
Is it really all that surprising, though? At least one team was reportedly scared off by reports that Moss was rude to caterers during his short stay with the Minnesota Vikings.
Suddenly, it appears that many analysts are picking the Titans as the AFC favorite right now.
From general manager Mike Reinfeldt:
“We are always looking for ways to improve our roster. Randy is obviously a Hall of Fame player and has the ability to be a difference maker for our offense.”
From coach Fisher:
“We had an opportunity to upgrade our offense and Randy has been a tremendous threat wherever he has been. We will bring him up to speed as quickly as possible.”
