Tony ScottSad news from the world of Hollywood this weekend, as director Tony Scott died after jumping from a bridge in California.

The 68-year-old left a suicide note at the scene although its contents have not yet been revealed.

Scott from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro at about 12:30 p.m. PDT.

A passerby who happened to see Scott jump from the bridge called 911, according to a statement released by the coroner’s office.

His films include “The Hunger,” “Top Gun,” “Beverly Hills Cop II,” “Days of Thunder,” “The Last Boy Scout,” “True Romance,” “Crimson Tide,” “Enemy of the State,” “Spy Game,” “Domino,” “Man on Fire,” “Deja Vu,” “The Taking of Pelham 123,” and “Unstoppable.”

Fellow director Ridley Scott has not yet commented on the death of his brother.
