Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 60 years on England’s throne this month, and this weekend kicks off four days of festivities marking her “Diamond Jubilee.”
Queen Elizabeth II was just 25 years old when she ascended to the British throne. She is now 86 years old.
One royal historian says the Queen represents stability.
“She has enabled change by her reassurance of essential continuity.”
Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth II went to the races, and hundreds of royal guardsmen marched past Buckingham Palace as the masses cheered on.
