Oh, Punxsutawney Phil. Why do you torment us so?
Punxsutawney Phil made his annual February 2nd appearance, which determines whether or not we will see six more weeks of winter.

The groundhog has spoken, and the outlook is bleak. At 7:25 a.m. EST, Phil did see his shadow, which means another six weeks of cold, winter weather.
According to German tradition, if a hibernating animal sees its own shadow on February 2nd, winter will last for six more weeks. If no shadow is seen, then, according to the legend, spring will arrive early. Not this year, though.
