Anthony Spinner, who produced such shows as The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Baretta, has filed a lawsuit against ABC and Touchstone Television, claiming that he created and was paid $30,000 for a 121-page pilot script for a show that is quite similar to LOST back in 1977. He also filed a lawsuit in 2005, but it was dismissed for procedural reasons.

In the script, Spinner mentions a plane headed to Los Angeles that crashes on a remote island, a doctor on board the plane, a female named Kate, a group of inhabitants on the island called “The Primitives” and even the use of flashbacks to tell the story of their lives before the accident.

Spinner claims to have submitted the story to ABC three times throughout the years but they neglected to pick up the series.

ABC has not issued a statement on the lawsuit, but Spinner is wanting royalties and profit among other demands.

Spinner, 78, started his career as a writer for “Studio One” in the early 1950s, but has has been largely inactive in the entertainment industry since 1996, according to the Internet Movie Database.
