Betty White is supposedly turning 90 years old today, but President Barack Obama isn’t having any of it.
During a televised birthday special for the Golden Girl that aired on NBC, the President issued a very special birthday message, asking to see White’s birth certificate.
The president writes:
“You look so fantastic and full of energy. I can’t believe you’re 90 years old. In fact, I don’t believe it. That’s why I’m writing to ask if you will be willing to produce a copy of your long form birth certificate. Thanks, and Happy Birthday, no matter how old you are.”
Among the starts who appeared on A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl, were the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Hugh Jackman, and Carol Burnett, and Mary Tyler Moore, who starred with White on The Mary Tyler Moore Show back in the day, was also on hand.
