Just like that, Google SearchWiki has vanished from many accounts, according to TechCrunch and several users that we’ve heard from.
I was not a big fan of it anyway, but I’m surprised to see it vanish so quickly.
User reactions were mixed but there were several reports of comments such as, “this is lame”…and there was no way to turn off SearchWiki other than to search while logged out of Google. Of course, the other alternative was to use Yahoo.
