Yesterday, hundreds of police officers swarmed on Union Square, arresting hundreds of “Occupy Wall Street” protesters.
There are several accounts on Twitter of police using pepper spray on the crowd.
In at least one video, a man is violently tackled for simply talking to an officer. In another, police officer tackles a protester and places his knee on a protester’s throat.
