What do you get when you cross Mission: Impossible with a cute and cuddly pigeon? You get a brilliant animated short called Pigeon Impossible that is taking the world by storm.
Here are 5 things you need to know about why it’s gone viral:
1) The Plot
This hilarious six-minute video tells the tale of Walter, a rookie secret agent faced with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.
2) Who Made It?
Amazingly, the short film is a first attempt at animation from writer Lucas Martell.
3) How Long Did It Take to Make It?
It took Martell almost five years to finish this masterpiece.
4) It Was an Accident
“When the project started, it was really just an excuse to learn 3D animation,” says Martell. “But by the end of the project I had spent so much time reworking and polishing the story that I just wanted people to laugh.”
5) Pixar Has Already Bought It
Well, we’re just kidding about the Pixar thing, but seriously, we bet it won’t be long before they gobble this one up.
