phillip garridoNow that Phillip Garrido, the man who held Jaycee Lee Dugard captive in his backyard for 18 years, has been taken into custody, his blog, Voices Revealed, has finally come to light…and it’s getting thousands of hits per hour.

You see, the 58-year-old Phillip Garrido believed, among other things, that he could control sound using the power of his mind and that he was the official spokesperson for God.

The latest blog post by themanwhospokewithhismind, written on August 14th, reads as follows:

“During the month of July 2009 JM’s Enterprises, 1215 Willow Pass Road * Pittsburg CA,(925) 439-8118 was the host to a powerful demonstration, the Creator has given me the ability to speak in the tongue of angels in order to provide a wake-up call that will in time include the salvation of the entire world.

You too can witness what the world believes is impossible to produce! email: godsdesire@rocketmail.com. DON’T MISS OUT!”

Garrido’s strange religious beliefs were known to his neighbors near 1554 Walnut Avenue, Antioch, California.  To them, he doled out several hand-made religious knick knacks.

He also published his beliefs on his blog, where he also documented sworn statements by witnesses of his supposed powers.

As you might imagine, comments are being posted to Phillip Garrido’s blog today in which he takes a beating.

“I hope you never see the light of day again,” writes one angry reader.

“You may ‘think’ you hear God talking to you, but Santan (sic) is who will be meeting you on the other side. You are probably the sickest and craziest human being in the world,” says yet another.

themanwhospokewithhismind” had this to say in a recent phone interview before his arrest:

“This freedom has not come about due to something great about myself, instead this ability is to open doors that will honor the creator and his eternal purpose for mankind.”

“This all began by god removing a problem from my shoulders that behavioral scientist believe is not possible to remove. Since then my life has seen major improvements allowing me to stand here today a free man.”

Whoops, maybe that “free man” part was a bit premature.
