Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has just landed a record-setting 4th NFL Most Valuable Player Award.  This is also his 2nd NFL MVP Award in two years.

Manning managed to get 39.5 votes, throwing for for 4,500 yards and 33 touchdowns in the 2009 pro football season. At 33, Manning has started in every game of his illustrious NFL career. This year alone he led three 4th quarter comebacks and led the Colts to 14 straight victories.

Peyton Manning has an uncanny ability to read NFL defensive coverages and figure out how to best counter them, and that fantastic Colts offensive line doesn’t hurt either.

Manning is frequently given three plays to choose from and, at times, he’ll change the play right at the line of scrimmage.

Peyton Manning’s NFL MVP award can be attributed to his magnificent understanding of the game, use of textbook passing mechanics, and coaches who have developed an offense that is second-to-none in the league.

Way to go, Peyton.
