F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You
The Perseid Meteor Shower 2009 is set to put on a spectacular show tonight and early tomorrow morning, for those who might be willing to venture outdoors during the very early morning hours.
In the United States, the best time to catch the show will be between 12am and 5am EDT on Wednesday, August 12th. Still, late Tuesday night and even late Wednesday night could be quite productive provided that the sky is clear in your area.
The Perseid meteors always dependable and can even be phenomenal. The only drawback this year will be the moon, which will be high in the night sky, obscuring the fainter meteors.
So get out and catch some shooting stars, like this backyard astronomer did on August 9th...
