Remember, the site is basically a one-man show. Consider also that 14 million pageviews is ahead of Huffington Post (their max was 7.7 million per day just last month).

Celebrity gossip is an unstoppable force on the world wide web.  The appetite for it is growing and Perez Hilton might have just cornered the market.
