Even though over ten states now allow some form of marijuana for medicinal purposes, the federal government still bans the plant for the entire U.S.
President Obama made it perfectly clear he would NOT waste federal Department of Justice resources on busting medical marijuana dispensaries and their patients before being elected, but – like most politicians – his actions tell a much different story since he took office.
This video of libertarian and magician Penn Jillette slamming the president for his drug war policies and for infringing upon states’ rights has quickly gone viral, amassing close to 200,000 views already.
It’s a little slow to get going, but Penn really cranks it up a notch around the 2-minute mark.
