Today was Oprah's big moment - the moment she used Twitter for the very first time.
Yay! Oprah is now on Twitter. Let's all jump up and down and break out the champaigne.
Seriously, wasn't this a little bit over-hyped? Sure it was a big deal for Twitter and everyone tried to keep a lid on it, but her first tweet had to be just about the most boring message of all time. To make things worse, Oprah had her caps lock on, WHICH MEANS SHE WAS SHOUTING.
So now the question is, will Oprah be a regular Twitter user, or was this just a flash-in-the-pan publicity stunt?
Will we actually start hearing Oprah's moment-by-moment thoughts? Will she start promoting products via Twitter? Will she actually interact with her fan base?
My guess - probably not. All we can hope for is that someone tells her to turn off her CAPS LOCK.
